As British Cycling’s elite road season prepares for lift-off on Sunday, we’ve quizzed our Canyon Eisberg riders on their team-mate to watch this season.
Whether it is an emerging talent or experienced man with a point to prove, they have all had their say. Just take a look…
JOE FRY
Hank. He’s a good looking fella, why wouldn’t you want to watch him?
DEXTER GARDIAS
Max Stedman (enough said).
JAMES LOWSLEY-WILLIAMS
I reckon, Dexter. He’s been there or thereabouts and I really think he can do something special this season.
MATT NOWELL
Charlie Tanfield. Track world champ, need I say more?
CHRIS OPIE
Rory or Max. I’m not sure either needs an introduction but I feel they really found their stride last year and have much more to show this season.
CHARLES PAGE
Rory Townsend. After training with him in Calpe, he is definitely coming into this season super strong and with a point to prove.
ALEX PATON
Charlie Tanfield. Seems like such a nice guy who just rides his bike real fast and is super chilled about it.
JACK PULLAR
Andy Tennant. He’s in a new team for the first time in three years and this is a good environment for him.
LOUIS ROSE-DAVIES
Alex Paton. He is just a beast who doesn’t seem to tire.
MAX STEDMAN
My fleet training/café partner Alex Paton. He had a bit of rough year last year but I reckon he’s back on the right track to tearing it up this year.
CHARLIE TANFIELD
Max Stedman. Good progression over the past few years. Looking forward to seeing what he can achieve in this year’s stage races.
HARRY TANFIELD
Charlie Tanfield, obviously! World champ. Got gas.
ANDREW TENNANT
Charlie Tanfield. I think this winter speaks for itself. If he gets away in the last few km, no-one is getting him back.
RORY TOWNSEND
Louis Rose-Davies. He will pass out before he’s dropped!
