Harry Tanfield will ride the individual time trial at the European Championships in Glasgow on Wednesday, August 8.
The 23-year-old Canyon Eisberg star has been named in Great Britain’s 10-man men’s road squad for the games in Scotland.
He was selected on the 18-strong long list before the final squad was confirmed by British Cycling on Tuesday.
Tanfield, who won silver at the Commonwealth Games in April, will join Alex Dowsett in riding the 45km men’s individual time trial.
They finished second and third, respectively, in the national time trial championships in Northumberland last month.
Tanfield’s brother and Canyon Eisberg team-mate, Charlie Tanfield, was earlier named in the men’s track squad.
The 21-year-old, who has already scooped world and Commonwealth titles this season, will contest the team pursuit and individual pursuit.
Racing will begin in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome on Thursday, August 2. Click here for more on the European Championships.
