We’re confident we have found a winning combination of wheels and tyres.
And we can’t wait to see what triumphs our work with Hunt Bike Wheels and Maxxis will deliver in 2018.
To celebrate our continued partnership, Hunt have penned a blog on the combinations we are excited about using this season.
The team at the West Sussex wheel brand have spoken to Chris Opie, Harry Tanfield, Max Stedman and mechanic Lee Askew, as well as breaking down the different hoops we will be racing.
Tim Elverson’s team will combine Hunt wheels with the Maxxis Padrone 28c tubeless tyres in the majority of races for the coming campaign.
Alex Paton, who has joined the team from Madison Genesis, has wasted no time in getting up to speed on his new set-up. He added:
“I will aim to use the tubeless tyres the whole way through the year. I’ve been using them ever since I could get a set off Tim and it is almost a no-brainer.
“You can run them really, really low. I’ve been running 50psi in the front and 55psi in the back and I weigh around 79kg.
“It rolls perfectly, makes the bike so comfortable and grips really well. And you are not likely to get any punctures because they have sealant in. What’s not to like?”
