Charlie Tanfield celebrated his first world title in Apeldoorn, Holland on Thursday.
The Canyon Eisberg talent, 21, produced another huge turn as Great Britain blew away Denmark in the final of the team pursuit.
Tanfield, Ed Clancy, Ethan Hayter and Kian Emadi clocked a winning time of 3min 53.389sec to beat the Danes by 1.843sec.
Clancy, who was celebrating his sixth rainbow jersey, paid tribute to Tanfield in the wake of the victory. He said:
“Charlie is just a massive engine, a massive talent who has come from completely outside the system.”
Tanfield, who rides on the track for Team KGF, will now turn his attention to the individual pursuit on Friday.
The British champion, from Great Ayton in North Yorkshire, has the qualifiers in the afternoon session before the medal races take place in the evening.
