Canyon Eisberg have underlined their commitment to tubeless technology by striking a deal with Peaty’s Products.
The British brand based in Sheffield will provide their revolutionary sealant to the UCI Continental team for the 2018 road season.
With the backing of Hunt Bike Wheels and Maxxis Tyres, sports director Tim Elverson has put his faith in a tubeless set-up for the campaign.
And he believes Peaty’s Tubeless Sealant, which has been honed by a team of scientists over the past two years, will complete a formidable combination. Elverson said:
“At Canyon Eisberg, we are always searching to find ways of giving our riders an edge over the competition.
“And with our determination to use tubeless with our Hunt wheels and Maxxis tyres, the relationship with Peaty’s Sealant will become a crucial part of this process.”
Former downhill mountain bike world champion Steve Peat (Peaty) echoed Elverson’s thoughts and revealed his excitement at the partnership. Peaty added:
“We are chuffed to announce the partnership with the Canyon Eisberg team for the 2018 season to further build on their successes.
“The team are at the forefront of integrating emerging technologies in the road racing cycle scene and we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”
Having retired from the World Cup circuit at the end of 2016, Peaty has not taken his foot off the gas when it comes to pushing the limits in the sport of cycling.
A three-time European champion and eight-time British champion, his determination to develop new technology has paid off with a revolutionary tubeless sealant that will not readily dry out or ball-up within the tyre.
The non-hazardous, non-toxic and completely biodegradable formula has been tried and tested by Peaty and a motley crew of the world’s best Downhill and Enduro mountain bike racers on the UCI Downhill World Cup and Enduro World Series circuits.
The biodegradable nano-platelets in Peaty’s Tubeless Sealant perform like platelets do in the blood and assist with the repair of larger holes and tears in the internal tyre.
The nano-platelets are completely biodegradable but look like blue glitter, so if you do happen to blow a tyre off the rim, it looks spectacular!
